Died quite unexpectedly yesterday, it appears.
I never did get into his Myth series, but the Thieves World anthology is/was a huge influence on me, and remains my #1 recommendation for crunchy, unfluffy fantasy.

I’m one of the few that liked the movie more than the book, I think — probably because I’m the last person on the planet to’ve not read The Three Musketeers, which The Club Dumas is full of references to.
